| MAY 2004 New Beginnings - Birthday Month Anniversary of where it all began, one year ago this month!
May 1st - 2004 Can it really be May already? What does this month hold for all of us? In the past May has always been a month of EXTREMES. Let's hope this years extremes are all good and nothing bad! So happy thoughts everyone and prayers for a good month ahead! Strong storms and heavy rainfall

don't need anymore severe weather. Media Advisory May 6th Pulaski-Massac-Pope County F4 Tornado One Year Commemoration
During the evening of May 6, 2003 a violent tornado struck
extreme southern Illinois carving a path of destruction for 33 miles across
Pulaski, Massac, and Pope counties of southern Illinois. The tornado claimed 2
lives, caused dozens of injuries, and resulted in millions of dollars in
property damage. In commemoration of this event, the National Weather
Service, along with local government, local and state emergency management, and
News Channel 6, is hosting a public gathering to reflect on this tornado and
its impact, and to promote maximum readiness for future events. This event,
which is open to everyone, will include an open forum period for questions and
discussion. I have been asked to speak at this
event on the evening of May 6th, everyone is invited to attend. It
starts at 7 p.m. Cal Sisto, Shane Parker, and others will be speaking as

That day approaches -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Monday, May 3rd - 2004 I went to my counselor today and met with him for about 2 hours. They did some tests. They came to the conclusion what I already knew. For one thing I have PTSD. Post Traumatic Stress Disorder this stems from two things. One the things that happened when I was a teenage and two from being set free last September after all the years of being on the run and basically making myself a prisoner in Toronto. I have never really been real big on labels and I have always been careful about having labels attached to people, on the other hand I know I am not smarter than these people who I am putting my care into. This is really nothing I didn't know and for that matter others around me have already mentioned this as part of the problem. I am going to work through this. I have been through so much over the last few years. My life has been turned upside down. I made a lot of poor choices and now I am trying to get my life back on track. I don't care what the problems are - I care about the solutions. I feel like I am on the right track now.
That is what matters.
Tuesday, May 4th Beautiful sunny day here across the Tri-State Region! :) My photographs from the storm the other day made it onto the National Weather Service Page - see below link. So anyway I thought that was nice. Next real severe weather threat should hold off until AFTER May 9th. Hmm, I thought maybe some of you guys would like to see where I am living. I am at the Fox Briar, which is located in Downtown Paducah - this is the same place I lived last summer. :) Here are a few pictures! ;)
Wednesday, May 5, 2004 Temperatures rose into the eighties. Almost like summer! It is going to be warm again tomorrow. I am getting ready for tomorrow nights community meeting. I still have to make a few notes and think through what I am going to say. I am sure I will forget to thank someone. Sorry if that is the case.
