Okay first off I want to say THANK YOU to Kristy for sending me some rain.  Oh wait it didn't rain.  KRISTY YOU PROMISED YOU WERE SENDING ME SOME RAIN FROM ALABAMA.  EXPLAIN PLEASE????  We waited and waited and waited.  It rained around us.  It rained ALL around us.  You need to make sure you put the right address on the mailing label next time.  :)  OKAY?

moving on...

Okay so I still have not made a decision on the class subject.  I am trying to figure out what six classes a week would feel like.  :)  I suppose it wouldn't be any different than "back in the day" when I was in high school?  I mean that was six or seven classes in a day.  :)  I guess I need to flip a coin.

Now if I knew what David was doing for the next 12 months :) that would help.  I think we were hoping that come this fall or winter we could go somewhere?  Then again maybe not.  I think Joey thinks I am nuts either way.  I would imagine though that David would tell me to go to school.  I mean they can come down here as well :)  There is always that long break for Christmas and New Years.  MAYBE by then I will be able to go back up to Canada.  Still waiting for word.  May is nearing the half-way point.  Tick-Toc-Tick-Toc

We were planning on living somewhere else for a month or two this winter.  SOMEWHERE THAT ACTUALLY RECEIVES SNOW.  I say we...I guess it would be ME that was wanting to live somewhere that snows this winter.  The way things are going we will be 80 degrees around here at Christmas with thunderstorms.  :(  Never a good thing.

Last year THIS was the scene across Western Kentucky
and Southern Illinois...

Seriously though...more like March 2005 around here.  Perhaps this winter we will have
record snowfall...temperatures of -20 :) and all of that good stuff!  I can dream
right?  I always do.

Okay back to the school subject...perhaps we need to take an internet survey on the school question and go from there.

I will email the counselor, at school, and ask her a few more questions.  I guess I will go from there.  :)

So Julie Kohn sent me these photos in an email :)  I thought they were cute.  Everyone needs a bunny and a deer in their backyard.  :)  Beats a Moose I guess.

This has been one of the quietest Springs that I can remember in YEARS.  LITTLE severe weather has impacted our region.  After the last 10 years you sort of got used to big outbreaks of tornadoes and hail storms.  So this has been a nice break for all of us that follow severe storms.  What is a weatherman to do with his time?  :)

The extended forecast is for quiet weather through the next 8 days.  We could have a cold front move in on Tuesday or Wednesday and that will likely spark a few thunderstorms.  Nothing HUGE though.  Will keep an eye on it though just in case.  Otherwise through day 8 it is going to be slowwwww in the weather department.  One model hints at active weather towards the end of the month.  Drought anyone?  Could be if we don't start getting rainfall on a regular basis.

BELOW IS THE DROUGHT MONITOR PUT OUT BY THE U.S. GOVERNMENT - SHOWING AREAS OF DROUGHT (The Southeast United States is burning).

The next class from Mississippi State is going to be Natural Disasters.  So that is right up my alley!  I think I will enjoy this class.  Hopefully I will learn something!  Class starts again next week.  We only have one class for the Spring Semester.  :)

I heard a great saying on television today - Teamwork makes the dream work!
So that is your saying for the day :)

Is this a boring day?  Well I don't know about boring...just not much to do.  :)  I guess Saturdays are supposed to be like that?  Right?

My friend Corey called from Atlanta!  I haven't talked to him in a few months.  I am excited because he is talking about going back to school.  This is something he has been wanting to do for some time now.  I am hoping he will quickly get from point A to B.  :)  He has been working hard to pay some bills off.  Then he is going back to school!  He was wanting to go into landscaping...but I think he might be thinking about another direction instead.  Time will tell!  I keep telling him to move up here and go to school.

Now if we can get Corey to move to somewhere like L.A. and then Kristy moves to Boston.  :)  We will be set!  We can go visit California and the Northeast.  :)  Nobody wants to visit Paducah though :(  I know...I know - it's not the MOST exciting place in the world.  It isn't the most boring either.  We do have the BBQ Festival :) and then there is the square dancing downtown on Saturday Nights.  I mean what more could one ask for?

Oh I forgot...Joey said I never posted his new car photos.  I got rid of the global warming SUV and decided to get something with better gas mileage and better payments I suppose.  :)  Here would be that photo ;)

I am NOT a car person...so don't ask me what kind of car it is.  Says Wynn on the front.  I think that is where he bought it.  :)  He likes it...guess that is all that matters.  :)

Sigh...

Okay so right outside my front door...about three feet away :) there are these baby birds.  THEY ARE SO UGLY.  I know...I know they are supposed to be cute baby birds.  But hey I call them as I see them...check it out :)

See I told you they were ugly...

We will check back on them in a few days.  I hope they can survive this year.  They seem to appear every year in the same spot...they don't always make it though.  Not the best place for baby birds.

OKAY now this is ridiculous

High gas prices are posted at a Shell gas station
in San Francisco, Thursday, May 10, 2007. With
gasoline prices poised to break records at the pump,
energy futures prices jumped Thursday as traders
noticed a gas supply imbalance in the fine print of
Wednesday's government inventory report.

HAPPY MOTHERS DAY :)

Trying to learn how to make these color satellite images :)  This one turned out okay.  Lot of dust
in the Atlantic.  Not good for tropical systems.  Will be curious to see how that impacts this
hurricane season.  Last year forecasters believed that it help put a damper on everything.

Some more images I made from today's satellite photos...Isn't the world a BEAUTIFUL place :)

South America in all of its glory :)

So yeah...it is Sunday.  Took mother out to Whaler's Catch to eat.  Deena and Danielle are in Washington D.C. on a field trip.  Dione and Tommy went to Tennessee...to his folks.  So it is just us!  It is a nice day out...beautiful actually.  We were out on the patio for awhile.  The temperatures are nice and the humidity is low!  My kind of day.  There might be a few thunderstorms on Tuesday Night and then cooler weather for the rest of the week.  Go figure.
