The blizzard of 2005!!!!

Well I wish I could say that we are going to see a blizzard here :) but I can't. The blizzard is going to hit the east coast. Some areas are going to see snowfall totals over 25 inches! Near hurricane force winds will also accompany the snow. This is going to be akin to the blizzard of 1978 in many areas. Meanwhile we might see flurries here in Paducah. Blizzard warnings cover areas from New York City into Boston.

Snow is moving into Massac County...and should overspread this whole area during the afternoon. High wind advisory is in effect. Forecasters are comparing this to the blizzard of 1978 for the Northeast States. Snow will be measured in FEET and winds will gust to or over hurricane force. Some areas have hurricane wind watches in effect now. WOW!

Well the east coast is digging out from under a huge blanket of snow! Up to THIRTY inches of snow fell in some areas. High winds caused severe drifting in many areas. So hopefully all of my friends in the northeast will enjoy their snow!
I am leaving on Monday for Key West. I will be gone for a week or so. Will post some pics when I have time.

I am in Nashville, Tennessee. My plane leaves at 11 am this morning. We should have a good trip. I hope they don't lose our luggage :) Last time I went to Key West I ended up with no luggage. Soooo...:)
I should get into the area around 4 pm this afternoon. The plane takes off from Nashville at 11 am.

MADE IT TO KEY WEST YAY :) It is 70 degrees here. Not too bad. It will be chilly tonight. Going to watch the sun set at the other side of the island. There is a little spot there where everyone goes to watch the sun go down!
