WELCOME TO AUGUST 2007

WOOHOO - FALL IS ALMOST HERE!!!!

BREAKING NEWS - TEST RESULTS ARE IN

B

So I got a B on the final for meteorology!  I think that means I will get an A in the class.  Have to wait and see.  I believe that is right though!  So I am thrilled with that result.  I was concerned about the final.  Not bad though.  No complaints!

So we went to Neuschwanstein  - the caste.  This was about 2 hours from Munich.  Beautiful drive through the country-side.  There are a lot of farms here.  Large farms.  Very few houses.  Lot of cows and some horses.  There were a lot of farmers in the field harvesting wheat.  The guide we had today said it was their fourth harvest this year.  That is a good number of harvests.

After we toured the castle we stopped in a small village to see a monastery - it is now a church.  It was built in 1050!  Now that is old!  There were beautiful paintings on the church walls and ceilings.  Amazing how much detailed work was put into these type of places.  Steingaden is the name of the church.  It was founded by Duke Welf VI.
