This is part of the old city. The West and Europe build these buildings when they occupied this region by in the 1800s.SHANGHAI AT NIGHT - From the river
We took a river cruise last night. We were able to see a large portion of the city. Beautiful lights. Much of this area was built in just the last 15 years. It was all rice patties before that. Pretty incredible. China has spent a ton of money to develop the region. Incredible if you ask me. To go from nothing to a huge city in just a few years.

These buildings (very tall) change colors and have moving images on them. It is simply amazing to watch. Shanghai has the most interesting buildings. I have never been to a city like this.
