Hello

We are recovering. I am just not used to all this manual labor.(ha) My sister lost everything as did my sister in law's Mom, Henrietta. ( My Mom & Dad, sister, brother and Henrietta all live on the same farm) My sister &  Henrietta both lived in mobile

homes which were completely destroyed. Neither one was home at the time. It flipped Henrietta's car completely over on it's top exactly where it was parked. Everyone did have insurance.

It ripped my Mom & Dad's roof off to the rafters and a lot of things got wet. A restoration company from Marion came down and packed all their belongings up to take and restore. (what they can) They could have rebuilt but since they had a brick home with a basement and solid foundation (that wasn't hurt) They have decided to completely gut the inside of the house and put in everything new. I hope this is a good decision because my Dad has asthma and the mold will be a big factor. They will be out of their house until late summer.

My brother's house was shifted some from it's foundation and part of the roof was lifted off. It sucked their furniture and stuff right out. Some of the stuff went in one direction and some in the other. Now, I see your fascination with tornadoes. I have been looking up all kinds of stuff on the Internet I wish I could have seen it without getting hurt.

They are getting Henrietta a new mobile home and my sister is going to move to Paducah . My sister's insurance isn't going to pay her mobile home completely off.

All the barns and outbuildings were destroyed so we are going to have a lot more cleaning up to do. They might as well forget putting out any crops this year. I know it could have been so much worse. My dad never wants to go to the basement.  Mike & Dylan and the neighbors were outside videotaping and when it lightened we could see several funnel clouds going their direction so I called Dad and told him to get downstairs. He said he had just gotten to the bottom of the stairs when it hit. Mom was already down there. Mike said the one that hit them just looked like a big black wall with an anvil head. We didn't get that one on tape. It is hard to tape them at night. I guess they are saying it was a F4. It was on the ground for over an hour and was about 35 miles long and 2/3 to 1 mile wide.

You see this stuff on TV all the times but don't realize the devastation until it hits home (no pun intended) Thanks so much for your concern and just keep us in your prayers. I really appreciate it. Talk to you later.  Jena    p.s. I will some you some pics.
