I will be living once again in my townhouse - at 19 Earl Street.   I will plan on being back in Toronto by February of 2004. 

Completed Goal and made the decision to move back to the United States.  Purchased a house and have moved in!  Continuing to build up the media room and settle back into the United States. 

We will work through my Immigration Attorney, Mr. Garson to first help me receive a temporary visitor permit to enter Canada.  This will be for a minimum of two months. 

Completed Goal.  Received two Temporary Visitor Permits to enter Canada.  We have since applied for the permission to no longer need a VISA.  This continues to be held up in the government processes.

 

The time that I am in Toronto will be spent on organizing future plans for The Shadow Angel Foundation, and exploring the possibility of me being able to go to school.

Completed and ongoing.  The Shadow Angel Foundation has provided services to local charities throughout Western Kentucky and Southern Illinois. 


The second phase will be to get a work visa for Canada.

I will make plans to watch the conclusion of Lord Of The Rings with the three people I have watched it with all along.  I will plan on watching this in New York City!  This will be around the Christmas season, and for the first time I will be in Rockefeller Square to see the NYC Christmas Tree! :)  We will also get tickets to Radio City Music Hall, to see The Nutcracker Broadway Show, and will make plans to see The Musical Handel's Messiah.

I will have spent July 4^th, 2004 with some of my friends and family in Washington D.C. - Watching the fireworks display and seeing the sites with my nephews and nieces. This will be to celebrate my freedom and an end to the court case!

By September we will have completed the Massac County Tornado Book.  100% of the proceeds of this book will be given to the victims of the May 6, 2003 Southern Illinois tornadoes. The book will be distributed through the Metropolis Planet and businesses in Metropolis.

Head Start - Joppa, Illinois - I will continue to find ways to help the center.

I continue to assist Head Start as needed.


I will continue to help them build their school library - by donating new books from time to time.

I will be working on the development of a short booklet, pamphlet directed towards parents and teachers concerning "Helping Kids Cope After A Disaster"  We will work towards getting the pamphlet distributed by The American Red Cross and recognized by the American Mental Health Association.  We will search out grant funding for the costs of the publication.

I will have set up a scholarship fund in memory of my friend Justin Croach. This will be through Shawnee College and will be in the form of a CD that will draw interest.  This will allow for a lifetime scholarship fund.

I will start the process of the development of a web site that will be focused and directed towards young people.  The web site will contain the stories of young people who have accomplished great achievements. The purpose of the web site will be to inspire other young people, to realize their dreams and ambitions are possible and that they can make a difference.

The web site will be in multiple languages.  It will document the life of Mattie Stepanek, known as poet and peacemaker at the age of thirteen years old, he is also the MDA’s National Goodwill Ambassador.  

The site will also feature Craig Kielburger, who at 12 years old became a spokesperson for children's rights.  Craig now runs Kids can Free The Children.

I will focus on the eventual development of The Shadow Angel Foundation.  I will work with Norman, David, and Doug to see that this process is done in a thoroughly thought out and organized manner.

For the first year we will explore ideas on how to focus my passions.

The foundation will seek to work with and help support and/or sponsor ongoing programs that fall into areas that interest me.

The programs purpose will not just focus on Canada and or the United States but will move in the direction so as to eventually be recognized as an international program.

I will be working on a Statement of Purpose for the Shadow Angel Foundation.  

I will be developing a 1 -2 - 3 - 5 - 10 year plan for the foundation.

Unfortunately, this is not usually the case.  Realizing that a person who has used drugs wishes to recover from their addiction needs more than just strong will power is the key to a successful recovery. Battling not only cravings for their drug of choice, re-stimulation of their past and changes in the way their brain functions, it is no wonder that quitting drugs without professional help is an uphill battle."

I will enter into a 30 day drug rehabilitation program.  A program that centers around learning coping skills and how to overcome addictions.  I will seek out an intensive program that fits my needs.

This program will help me continue down the path I am on.  It will reinforce my ability to move forward in life and help others that have the same problems that I have had. 

Entering this program will be one of the most important steps I will have taken since the decision to leave Toronto.  It will not be an easy step, but will be one that is vital.  

I came off drugs/alcohol cold turkey, without building the coping skills that I need to stay off drugs and alcohol.  I may be a strong person and I may have the ability to fight battles that would destroy most people, but I am not naive enough to believe that I won't be tempted again to use.  I don't want to repeat the mistakes I have made over the last few years.  I want to stay on the path I am on now.  I have fought a five year + battle with drugs and alcohol, we are now on the path to victory and now is no time for me to think that this battle is won.  It is, however,  time for me to take responsibility for my actions and my future, and to ensure that I continue to win the battles that will surely come my way.   

I will ask my family and friends to support me in my decision to stay drug and alcohol free, and to hold me accountable to this promise.

That I will remain drug and alcohol free in the year ahead.  That I will strive to be the best person that I can be that I will stay true to myself and to my family and friends.  That I will - if tempted - to use drugs or alcohol - contact or call upon my family and friends to help me.  I will not hide my fears, my emotions, or my struggles. 

After completing this program I will continue to visit a counselor in order to continue learning...and continue building my coping skills.

I will be close to finishing my Morgan Dollar Collection, for a registry set with PCGS, made up of Deep Mirror and Proof Like Morgans and the rainbow Morgans I already own.

I will start to build a St Gaudens $20 Gold Coin collection.

I will have finished my DCAM MS69+ Kennedy collection and will register it with PCGS.


I will have continue working on building my Canadian and American Proof  and Silver Proof Coin Sets.
